My blog is so nice; too bad Im not using it anymore :)

I am completely caught in a twist of work. I have not been posting for a long time; I dont even remember how to do that anymore :-/ There surely is another reason for that. I have bought a new MacBook, so completely fallen into a gaming sphere on Windows 7. Hopefully be back ASAP…

Action held at Solidni Nejistota, one of the downtown Prague bars. The environment was rather dark over there. My bad not to take a tripod with. Even though the scene was shining, I was not able to use lower than 800, more likely 1600 ISO at a shutter of 1/30 s. Most of the pics are pretty noisy with my D60, check out lightbox or this hires. I was taking dozens of these, but just a chip of them is really useful. At least have found the beauty of RAW (NEF) format.

When shooting perfectly poured icy-cold beer
I have signed into a photo-shooting course about two months ago. We went through the very basics of holding the camera, getting the composition and managing all the main modes.
Throughout the course I'm realizing, that photographer I am never gonna be. I'm just not that kind of guy, who wakes up early picking his camera, gunning for the perfect dawn. However, it is a hell of a fun sometimes.
As this is the third year I do work for a production company, I feel a bit ashamed; yesterday was on the shooting floor for the first time. I was asked to shoot some pictures of the new Heineken video manual shooting. Frank knew, how to draw the perfect beer. He could have been a great movie character.

| Pedro | Thanks for ur comment Lewros! Was shooting it on the shutter priority, because the course taught me, that 1/30s is about the break value to shoot without a tripod. Later realized that I can hold even longer times, gotta test it out somewhere. The amount of noise is still quite high at ISO 1600 with D60, have seen with D300 and there was almost none. So camera body is most probably what really counts in here...

| lewro | Good shot! There are some nice light reflections on his arm and glasses behind him. Even the light coming to his head from the Heineken advert makes it look more interesting. I like the off center position you have chosen.
Its true you get lots of noise when shooting with high ISO but it is not necessary bad think. Maybe you could try to make in black&white. The head on the bear could nicely pop-up on that one.
