My blog is so nice; too bad Im not using it anymore :)

I am completely caught in a twist of work. I have not been posting for a long time; I dont even remember how to do that anymore :-/ There surely is another reason for that. I have bought a new MacBook, so completely fallen into a gaming sphere on Windows 7. Hopefully be back ASAP…

Coffee survey
So how many coffees do we usually have during a
standard working day? I was quite surprised, that only
14% of dudes are not drinking coffee at all. Knowing pretty
much of those people, but could it be the reason of not
visiting again for them? Seriously, about 2 cups a day
are just ok (48%). Up to 4 caps (21%) or 6 cups
(7%), which is most probably my case. Total of
29 vouters is however not a big number.
Traffic
Otherwise there is about 400 of unique visitors
at the moment at WebCoffee, which is not much a satysfying
count for me either. The fact is, that search engine traffic
is none, because of not registerring it to any catalogues;
wanna be checking the social networks power just a bit
longer.

This month's survey - cigarette in the header
For the new month's coming up, the situatin needs to have a new survey to be applied. Here I will summarize the old one, share my thoughts and comment some progress of the web.
The reason of publishing this post is a bit specific; I have recently posted a website critique threat over at creativebits. I have not received much of a feedback about the visual or the functional point of view. The main discussion topic was quite surprisingly the fag in the page header, I was not thinking that much about when doing the layout.

Most of the bitters are seeing it as something not welcome in the professional sphere. As I was argueing of my personal „caffeteria feeling“ point of view; there is still much of people having a cigarette when taking a cup of coffee, in my tenet. But maybe it really is too subjective, so non-smokers could be on the fire.
I had some suggestion of putting a naive cross over the fag to appeal at the general smoking dilemma, but have heard that switching it to any other element (marker, brush,…) would be the right way. I am not feeling like turning the ciggie down right away, but would like to hear any reader's opinion. So please, tell me in this month's poll, how do you feel about the cigarette in the page header?
Comments
I am glad, that some comments are appearing,
however half of them seems to be viagra spam :) But still
please, feel free to give me any feedback to this topic
area.

| Pedro | Thanks for your opinion Vee! I'm going to keep on writing, that is sure, but the amount of work and school makes me feel like the time is against me nowadays...

| Vee | I love coffee! lol
In response to your page header topic, for my opinion there's nothing wrong with it :)
Each person has the right to write, share and pick what are the things that they like to talk. You keep on writing. I'll give you a regular visit! ;)

| Pedro | You're making a good point here Paul. I feel the discussion was pretty a chain reaction, that someone told it is a bad thing so the rest of them were following. I understand, it is a community, so they should be somehow united, but wouldn't it be better to hide all the comments, so people are honestly sharing their own opinions instead of following somebody's ones?
Of your words I can imagine what kind of person you probably are; whether I read this post or visit your site, I'm sure that u got your own point of viewing things, pretty close to mine. Everybody should have one, no matter how subjective it is. I'm publishing pretty subjectively; it is just a question of the reader to take it or leave it. This makes me realize, that I should be changing the description from "a blog for designers,..." to "a blog of a designer,...", what a mistake!
Anyway, my point here is not making a closed smoker's club, that's why I'm asking readers to let me know.

| Paul Baines | Ah that'd be the sanctimonious non-smoking movement, they're almost on a religious crusade. I don't think you should censor your site, it's not like your depicting anything graphic, i suppose it depends on your readers. There are plenty of French smokers who'd start another revolution rather than stub it out. Then there's the UK which is fast turning into the weed capital of the world.
There are only two places I can smoke, and only one in peace, the streets, though you'll still get stares, and at home. If I die early that helps the earth, its over populated as it is. There's so much pollution out there - the day that the holier-than-thou crowd give up driving cars and using air travel to take a break, is the day I'll give up. The world is full of hypocrites, you know that and I know that, the point is we need to persist with our own personal lines in creative expression, no matter what they are.
Wouldn't it be a boring world if we all did what the state, the media, the Christian right, and the keep fit brigade told us to do, and what a crowded one too. Live life as it suits you, America needs to eat less, the UK needs to bin its kingdom of surveillance, Europe needs to stop legislating every detail of life under the sun, and basically everyone needs to back off.
I hate normality, it drove me crazy enough times, normal people hate me, it's a fair trade I'd say. The world has fast become a "nanny state" with everyone butting in on the tiniest details of an individuals' rights, the freedom to be who you are should be sacrosanct, not the opinions of a conservative pressure group. Roll on the next life I say.
